Change of Menu
When I was in my salad days,
And life was blithe and balmy,
I ate ice cream, and mayonnaise,
Cheesecake, and hot pastrami.
But now, I’m told, I must forsake
What made my taste buds quicken,
So farewell to the char-broiled steak,
Hello to parboiled chicken.
Dasvidaniya, cream cheese blini,
Later, rib of barbeque,
Ciao, Alfredo fettuccine,
French-fried spuds, adieu.
English roast beef, cheerio!
Auf wiedersehen, bock beers,
Thus, from my salad days I go
Into my salad years.
