“Chess robot grabs and breaks finger of seven-year-old opponent”

The Guardian

by Bruce Bennett

Of course it was the child’s fault.
It wasn’t in the plan
for him to make that sudden move.
The robot’s not a man.

It’s a machine that’s primed to win,
no matter what the cost.
A broken finger’s not that bad.
Think if the thing had lost!
