Light Poetry

Let us praise the photon,
Bringer of the light.
Without that wavy particle,
We would not have our sight.

Didn’t get the message?
Can’t grasp our times’ gestalt?
You need the friendly photon
To remedy the fault.

Ray Russo is a mathematician and retired US Federal civil servant, living with his wife in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. His children are grown, his faithful dog is dead, and he has lots of time to indulge his delusions.
