Puppy Love
This feeling took me by surprise
She’s fair in form and face
One look into her big brown eyes
Made me a basket case
My twitterpated heart’s aflutter
My cello’s come unstrung
She’s jelly to my peanut butter
My steeple bells are rung
It’s my first brush with puppy love
A little slice of heaven
You wouldn’t guess from the above
I’m pushing eighty-seven
